SUSAN KAY ATWOOD

Susan Kay Atwood, daughter William Keith and Ruth Wells Gaston was born November 12, 1942 in Keosauqua, Iowa and departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 1978 at Mercer Medical Center in Trenton, N.J. following a lengthy illness.

She was raised in Keosauqua, graduated from Keosauqua High School and attended the American Institute of Business in Davenport, Iowa.

On August 12, 1962, she was married at Center Chapel to Mark W. Atwood and their home was 66 Lions Drive, Morrisville, Pa. They are the parents of one son, Jeffrey W., age 14 and a daughter, Jacqueline S., age 11.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her parents, a sister, Ann Gaston of St. Charles, Ill. and a brother, Ned Gaston of Keosauqua, other relatives and many friends.

She was a member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church where she was active in choir. She belonged to P.E.O. Chapter AT, of Yardley, Pa.

Susan was much loved by her family and friends and is remembered for her concern of others. She was always ready with a smile and a kind word for all.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 10, 1978 at 2:00 P.M. at the Center Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Schnedeler officiating. Interment was in the Center Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Burch Funeral Home.

Memorials were established for the American Cancer Society.
