MRS. DAISY ATKINS

Daisy Atkins, 84, was born December 4, 1887 in Milton. Her parents were Rufus Wilson and Alice Harbin Wilson. She passed away December 20, 1971, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua. She had been in very poor health for the past 2 1/2 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charley and Bert; and one sister, Myrtle Ralston.

She was married to Harry Atkins on August 29, 1906. Mr. Atkins passed away in January, 1955.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Atkins and Helen Lunsford and a very devoted son-in-law, Glen Lunsford, all of Milton; one grandson, Jerry Lunsford, his wife, Joyce and two great-grandsons, Tony and Curt of Fremont, Iowa; three nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Atkins was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church all and her life also a member of the local WSCS and the Friendship Club. She graduated from the Milton High School in 1906.

A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Milton United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Church officiating. under the direction of the Wellborn Funeral Home, Milton. Interment was in the Milton Cemetery.
