MOUNT STERLING - A funeral for Charlie Wesley Heath, 81, of rural Mt. Sterling, who died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday Feb. 11 in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shaffer & Sons Chapel, Kahoka, Mo., with the Rev. Carl Martin officiating.

Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery, rural Keosauqua.

Visitation is today with family greeting friends 7-9 p.m.

A memorial is established with American Cancer Society.

He was born Aug. 1, 1902 in Van Buren County, son of F.J. and Mollie Elwood Heath. He married Madelene Bertram Feb. 14, 1931 at Granger, Mo.

He was an avid hunter and a portion of his farm that was donated to conservation has been designated "Charlie Heath State Forest and Wildlife Memorial Area."

He was an active member of the Asbury Methodist Church.

Survivors include a niece and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nov. 10, 1961, three brothers and two sisters.
