Keller services will be Friday

Services for Marshall J. Keller, 93, 1108 S. Third, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Griffis will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Keller died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Parkview Care Center.

Marchall J. Keller was born June 16, 1899 in Jefferson County. He was the son of Jule and Julie Liblin Keller. He was married to Hazel Olson April 8, 1919. She died June 19, 1930.

Later he married Florence Brown Oct. 24, 1948, who survives.

Keller was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church and a lifetime resident of Jefferson County and Van Buren Counties. He had lived in Fairfield since 1973 when he retired from farming.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons and three stepchildren. The sons are Harold, Verne and Wayne Keller all of Fairfield, and Gerald Keller, Bonaparte.

The stepchildren are Nadine Hagans, Fairfield; Leona Garrett, Mount Pleasant; and Wayne Yargus, Hill City, S. Dakota.

Three sisters and brother also survive. They include Macel Brereton, Bonaparte; Russell Keller, Fairfield; James Keller, Iowa City; and Earl Keller, Cantril. He was preceded in death by one brother.
