Litton dies suddenly at 48

LOCKRIDGE - Maurice (Burt) Litton, 48, died suddenly Thursday morning at his farm home two miles southeast of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery south of Lockridge. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Litton was born March 10, 1934 in Jefferson County, the son of Guy and Mary Young Litton. On Dec. 26, 1953, he married Barbara Jean Augstead at Fairfield.

Also surviving are two sons, Ricky of Des moines and Ronald of Fairfield; one daughter, Rita Shannon of Victoria, Texas; his father of Lockridge; two grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Murphy of Fairfield and Betty Crowner of W. Burlington. He was preceded in death by his mother.
