Mrs. Conyers, 94, dies

STOCKPORT - Amy I. Conyers, 94, former Stockport resident, died at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stockport United Methodist Church with the Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery. Memorials to Stockport United Methodist Church may be left at Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.

Mrs. Conyers was born Oct. 3, 1886 at Stockport, the daughter of Henry and Mary Jane Lazenby Clay. She married Edgar Veatch, who died in 1920. Later she married Harry R. Conyers. He died Nov. 5, 1956.

Surviving are two sons, Warren Veatch and Raymond Conyers, both of Stockport; a daughter, Virginia Pratt of Moravia; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A son, David, preceded her in death,

Mrs. Conyers was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church and Stockport American Legion Auxiliary, having served as secretary for a number of years.
