William Todd

ARBELA, Mo. - Services for William S. Todd, 65, of rural Arbela, who died Sunday in the Van Buren County Hospital at Keosauqua, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home at Kahoka with the Rev. Clyde Lint officiating.

Burial will be in Blackledge Cemetery near Mount Sterling, Iowa.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today, with the family meeting friends 7-9 p.m.

He was born May 2, 1915, in Clark County, Mo., son of Samuel W. and Ernestine Hite Todd. He married Joan Clarkson in 1957 at Memphis.

He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife; stepson Richard Joseph Clarkson of Quincy, Ill.; sons Albert Leslie of Kahoka and John Robert of Arbela; daughters Mary Ann of Memphis and Jacqueline and Betty Jo of Arbela; brother Albert of Mount Sterling and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sons.
