Foster Try

FARMINGTON - Graveside services for Foster Try, 76, of Phoenix, Ariz., who died at Phoenix Sunday, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Anson Cemetery near Farmington, with the Rev. Robert Hambright officiating.

The family will meet with friends Friday evening at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Anson Cemetery.

He was born June 5, 1905, at Farlin, Iowa, son of Charles and Geannette Waitman Try. He married Edna Schee in 1929 in Des Moines.

He moved to Phoenix 17 years ago from Joliet, Ill. He was a graduate of Drake University at Des Moines. He was a retired training director for a consulting firm specializing in the bakery industry.

He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, the Men's Garden Club and the Sun Country Iris Society, all of Phoenix.

Survivors include his wife of Phoenix; a son, Paul, of Fairfax, Virg.; a daughter, Barbara Swan of Edgewood, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
