Frank Pallifer

FARMINGTON - Frank Edger Pallifer, 81, Farmington, died at 4:20 a.m. today at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, after a short illness.

He was Aug. 10, 1897 in Hannibal, Mo., the son of the late John and Margaret Pierce Pallifer. He married Dorothy Messer on Dec. 24, 1917 in Mt. Pleasant. She survives.

Mr. Pallifer lived most of his life in Farminging, working as a farmer and a painter. He also worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. The Rev. Scott Holmes will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Cemetery Association.
