Perry L. Lewis

Perry L. Lewis, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 23 at 4:45 p.m. in Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, where he had been a patient two weeks.

He was born May 15, 1893, in Van Buren County, the son of William and Lillie Carr Lewis.

He was married Dec. 18, 1918, to Helen Goehring, who survives. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. He farmed in Jefferson County and had lived in Libertyville since 1936.

Surviving besides his widow are a son Delbert of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Keith Smutz of Libertyville and six grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 1:20 p.m. at the Libertyville Methodist Church. The Rev. Lewis Lint, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Fell Cemetery.
