MRS. FREDA SLAUGHTER

Mrs. Freda M. Slaughter, 72, of rural Donnellson, died Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1:15 P.M. at Burlington hospital.

She was born Oct. 30, 1894, near Donnellson, the daughter of Samuel and Selma Krebill. June 12, 1925, she married James H. Slaughter in Chicago. She was a school and piano teacher. She was a member of the Zion Mennonite church and the ladies aid of the church.

Surviving are, the husband; and three sisters, Mrs. Roy Carstenson, of Yuma, Ariz., Mrs. Sidney Holmes of Canoga Park, Calif., and Mrs. Will Krebill of Davenport.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 31 in Zion Mennonite church, Rev. Ernest Porzelius officiating with burial in the Mennonite cemetery.
