Mrs. Pearl Overton

DONNELLSON - Mrs. Pearl E. Overton, 79, of Mt. Pleasant died Thursday at 10:10 in Henry county Memorial hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Her death was quite sudden.

Born August 29, 1889 at Keosauqua she was the daughter of George and Ellen McIntosh Thomas.

She was married to Frank Overton on September 25, 1912 at her home in Clay Grove and he survives.

They lived in Clay Grove until 1949 and then moved to Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Clay Grove United Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. of the church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Irvin and Forrest both of West Point, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Paschal of Hutchinson, Kan. and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers and four sisters.

The funeral service will take place on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Clay Grove Methodist church eight miles north of Donnellson with the Rev. Everett McClellan officiating. Burial will be in the Clay Grove cemetery.
