Rex Vale Dies Tuesday Morning

Rex Vale, 59, of Mt. Sterling died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home. He had been ill for a year.

He was born July 2, 1906 near Cantril, the son of John and Minnie Chaplin Vale. He farmed near Mt. Sterling most of his life. He was not married.

He is survived by his sister, Netta Vale of Mt. Sterling, and a brother, Ford Vale of Cantril.

The body is at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Services will be held Thursday, May 19 at the Mt. Sterling Methodist Church with the Rev. Herbert Phillips in charge. Burial will be in Hoskins Cemetery.
