CHARLES PHILLIPS

Charles H. Phillips, 79, of Laramie, Wyo. died there May 22 at 7 p.m. Formerly of Farmington, he moved to Wyoming in 1963.

He was born May 2, 1888 in Clark County, Mo., the son of William and Mary E. Steeples Phillips.

He married Gussie Lucille Zane on Jan. 29, 1923 at Memphis, Mo. She died in 1963.

He was a section foreman for the Burlington Railroad.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lorton of Laramie, Wyo.; two sisters, Miss Ella Phillips of Chicago, and Mrs. Marie Keller of Fort Madison; a brother, Louie Phillips of Medill, Mo.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

The funeral service was held Saturday, May 27 at 2 p.m. from Miller's Home For Funerals in Farmington with the Rev. Harold Schirm officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
