Thomas L. Martin, 78, of West Burlington, IA, passed away on June 9, 2017. He was born near Glasgow, IA, to Carl and Delpha Nichols Martin. Tom was a graduate of Fairfield High School. Mr. Martin worked and retired from General Electric in West Burlington. He was passionate about motor racing of allí types. He became the owner of a sprint car, Fubar Special, built by three of his friends and was a frequent participant at the Knoxville Speedway, and later years with the "Old Timers' sprint car races at Columbus Junction and other smaller county race tracks. He enjoyed the outdoors, feeding his many feathered friends in his backyard, and time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his son, Jack, granddaughters, Melanie and Katie, and partner, Ann Jones, all of West Burlington, siblings, Earl, of Mitchellville, IA, Wayne, Toledo, IA, Maxine (Jack) Litton, Fairfield, and Carol Liblin Nelson, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn, and his parents. May they all rest in peace.

As per Tom's wishes no funeral service will be held, however a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
