J. FRANK ANDERSON

John Frank Anderson was born August 15, 1915 in Birmingham, Iowa and died at the Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona on Dedember(sp) 29, 1981.

He was the youngest of three children of John Franklin and Festusina Bonnett Anderson. He graduated from the Birmingham High School in 1933 and Iowa Success Business College, Ottumwa, Iowa.

He married Audrey F. LaBelle in Ottumwa, Iowa on August 25, 1940, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Marcia F. Bovey and a granddaughter Kimberly Diane Bovey, both of South Bend, Ind., a sister Berdina Bagby of Stockport, Iowa, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Anderson was associated with International Harvester Co. for 25 years, serving in branches at Ottumwa, Davenport and going to Cedar Rapids, Iowa as branch manager in 1948, where he remained until he took early retirement in 1964. He then associated with Jim Yull Real Estate Co. before establishing his own J. Frank Anderson Realty Co. in 1967. He retired and moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1977, although he kept his Iowa Real Estate Broker's license active.

While in Cedar Rapids, he was active in the BPOE Lodge, redently(recently) transferring to the Apache Junction, Arizona, Elks Lodge. He was a World War II veteran a member of both Cedar Rapids, Ia. and Apache Junction, Arizona Posts member of the Kiwanis, a Mason of Mt. Herman Lodge and El Kahir Shrine; Indian Creek Country Club, Marion, Iowa and of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

After moving to Mesa, he was a member of Sunland Village Assn., Hole-in-One Clubs at both Sunland Village Golf Course and Camelot Golf Couse(Course). He was a member of the championship team of Valley of the Sun 8-Ball Tournament Pool and of the Velda Rose United Methodist churdh(church).

Funeral services were held at the Velda Rose United Methodist Church, Saturday, January 2, 1982. Officiating were Rev. Kent Douglass and Rev. Tom Butcher. Masonic Lodge Servides(err) were by Apache Lodge No. 69, AF & AM. He was buried at the Mt. View Memorial Gardens.
