Charles Ellis

Harley Graham received a card last Thursday form Mrs. Mary Ellis Milton announcing the death of her brother, Charlie Ellis, at his home in Oakland, Calif., Friday, Sept. 22, following a short illness. When Harley was in California this summer he had a very pleasant visit with Charlie and his sister, Mary, and he seemed to be in the best of health and was quite prosperous in the real estate business. Mary was visiting him from her home in Minneapolis, Minn., death. They will be remembered by the older residents of Birmingham as the son and daughter of Rev. Ellis, the "blind preacher" of the Free Methodist church, and the family are all gone now but Mary.
