MRS. J.E. WINSLOW

Anna Brooks, daughter of J.F. and Priscilla Brooks, was born near Salem, Iowa, Dec. 20, 1861. On Oct. 20, 1888, she was united in marriage to Elmer Winslow. To this union two children were born, Hugh who died in early childhood, and Russell of Birmingham. Her husband preceded her in death in March, 1937, and since then she has been with her son, Russell and family. Besides her son and wife she leaves two granddaughters, Joanne and Dixie Winslow, and one brother, Joe Brooks, of Moravia, Idaho, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In early childhood she united with the Methodist church and continued a faithful worker, attending services whenever health permitted.

She was a faithful wife and mother and a kind neighbor and counted all who knew her as friends.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Jay N. Waterman. Burial in Maple Hill cemetery.
