Mrs. Francis Randolph

Mrs. Janice Burnett Randolph was born Aug. 15, 1907, at Bonaparte, Iowa, and died at Burlington hospital Oct. 8, 1945, age 38 years, 1 month and 23 days, following along illness.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church in Burlington, Wednesday, Oct. 10, Rev. J.T. Parker, pastor in charge. Interment in Bonaparte cemetery.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burnett, she graduated from the Bonaparte high school with the class of 1924 and taught school several years.

She was united in marriage to Francis Randolph, March 12, 1932, to them one son, Robert Dean, was born. They moved to Burlington about seven years ago.

Janice was an active consecrated Christian. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Burlington, secretary of the Bible school and served as a member of the Board of Christian Education as well as working in many tasks of the church.

She was active in P.T.A. work having served as vice president.

Janice was a good mother and wife and will be greatly missed by everyone, she always had a smile for everyone.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, Francis, one son Robert Dean, her mother Mrs. Anna Burnett and one sister, Mrs. Halsey Rambo and one brother, Floyd Burnett, all of Burlington, besides several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her father preceded her in death on March 16, 1941.

Madison; Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Hooper and son C.R., Newton; Mr. and Mrs. (Gerald) Holcomb, Fairfield; Mrs. Noah Ward, Bonaparte; Mr. and Mrs. Karl Willitts, Mt. Sterling; Mrs. Max Ewing, Mt. Zion; Mrs. Russell McIntosh, Keosauqua; Mrs. Gus Mills, Bonaparte; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Burnett, Milton; Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Burnett and son Kenneth, Keosauqua; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jobe and daughter, Marlyn, Ottumwa; Mrs. Vernon McCraney, Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Randolph, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Scott and daughters, Edith and Mrs. Manning Brown, Keosauqua; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Randolph, Mr. and Mrs. Valasco Wilson and Helen Chapman, Bonaparte.
