OBITUARY #1:

PEARL M. WEBSTER

DOUDS--Pearl M. Webster, 82, died Friday at a hospital in Colorado Springs. He made his home in Colorado Springs with his daughter, Mrs. John Siemon, for several years. He had suffered a stroke December 28.

He was born in Douds-Leando and spent most of his life in Douds and Selma communities. He was a rural mail carrier for 30 years. He was a 50-year member of Celestial lodge, A.F. and A.M.

Surviving are a son Elmer of Chicago, his daughter, Mrs. Seimon [sic]; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Carlton of Colorado Springs and Mrs. Loie Hanshaw of Keosauqua; five grandchildren and four [6 is handwritten in] great-grandchildren.

The body will arrive Tuesday afternoon at the Perick funeral home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah cemetery north of Douds with Masonic rites.

PEARL WEBSTER DIES; FUNERAL AT 10 MONDAY

Pearl Webster of 1327 W. Colorado Ave. died Friday in a Colorado Springs hospital.

He was born May 15, 1878 in Doud, Iowa. He had been a resident here for the past nine years. He was a retired mail carrier. He retired June 4, 1934, in Iowa.

He was a member of the Celestial Lodge No. 43, AF and AM, in Douds, Iowa.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hildred M. Siemon, 1327 W. Colorado Ave.; a son, Elmer J. Webster of Chicago,; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Daisy L. Carlton of Canon City and Loie Hanshaw of Keosaqua [sic], Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Chapel of Memories. The Rev. John Skeen will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Doud.

Pearl M. Webster, 82, died Friday, Jan. 6 at a hospital in Colorado Springs. He made his home with his daughter, Mrs. John Siemon for several years. He had suffered a stroke Dec. 28.

He was born in Douds-Leando and spent most of his life in Douds and Selma communities. He was a rural mail carrier for 30 years. He was a 50-year member of Celestial lodge, A. F. and A. M.

CONTRIBUTOR'S NOTE: Pearl Webster married first 10 Oct 1902 to Alice Walker (1879-1935) and had four children. Pearl married second to Margaret Kunzman (1915-1953).
