MR. AND MRS. J. M. BARTHELOW GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Barthelow were very pleasantly surprised at their home 5 miles west of Birmingham on Saturday, when about 60 of their friends and relatives came in with well-filled baskets, and reminded them that they had been married 50 years, and that they were to celebrate their golden wedding.

Shortly after the guests had all arrived, a large table was spread which fairly groaned under its burden of the best things to eat that loving hands could prepare, and which surely gave credit to those in charge.

The bride and groom were then invited to the dining room where a bountiful dinner was served. All enjoyed a pleasant day.

Those present from Fairfield were: Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Barthelow and daughter Weltha, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Barthelow and daughter Judith, James Greenfield, O. J. Greenfield and family, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Greenfield and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Greenfield and son Joe, of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Greenfield of Douds, Mrs. S. A.
