Funeral services for Lyle Bevins Green, 82, of Winterset were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery with Rev. Scott Grotewold officiating.
Mr. Green died Sunday, May 13, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.
Born on March 14, 1897, at Conrad, he was the son of Wilbur Bliss and Rozetta Bevins Green. An Army veteran of World War I, he was married to Ethyl Ruby Parrott on December 20, 1933, at Winterset. He lived at Lorimor before moving to Winterset three years ago, when he retired from farming.
Surviving are his wife Ethyl; a daughter, Janet Dudney of Lorimor; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step grandchildren, and a step great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Bill Henton attended funeral services for Lyle Green at Winterset on Tuesday. Mr. Green was a former resident of our community before moving to Winterset a few years ago.
