CLOTENE A. ZIMMERMAN, PRESCOTT

Clotene A. Zimmerman, 74, of Prescott died March 11, 1999, at Iowa Methodist Hospital Center in Des Moines.

Services were 11 a.m. March 15 at the United Disciples of Christ Church in Prescott. Dr. Jeanne Groom officiated with burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery, north of Prescott. the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home, 809 W. Montgomery Street, had charge of arrangements. A Memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born March 30, 1924 in Cromwell to Jesse Bryan and Cleo Belle (Wheeler) Kilgore. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1941. On July 7, 1943, she married Ervin Tyler Zimmerman in Denver, Colo. She worked at the Prescott Locker, owned and operated Peg's Medicine Shop for six years and worked at Creston Manor Care Center for several years. She spent most of her life in the Prescott area and lived in Lemmon, S.D. for 14 years. She served as Prescott City Clerk for several years. She was a member of the United Disciples of Christ Church in Prescott, Prescott "Bag Ladies" Club, former president and current vice president of the Prescott United Church Women and treasurer of the Prescott Busines Association.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis (wife Helen Kay) Zimmerman of Anita and Steve (wife Shelley) Zimmerman of Creston; two daughters, Joyce Jones and Peggy Zimmerman of Des Moines; two sisters, Wilma (husband Dean) Robison of Trimble, Mo., and Irma Roberts of Creston; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1961 and an infant son in 1959.
