J. S. TAYLOR

James S. TAYLOR, 63, Bedford newspaper publisher and a native of Fairfield, died suddenly early today at the hospital in Clarinda.

Taylor was admitted to the hospital a short time earlier after suffering a heart attack at his home in Bedford. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Taylor was born in Fairfield April 3, 1913, the son of the late Dean and Jessie MINNELEY TAYLOR. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and Parsons College.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie LONG, Bedford; a brother, Ben J. TAYLOR, Fairfield; and a cousin, Gertrude WHITTED, Fairfield.

Taylor was a teacher at Coin and Audubon before serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a teacher at Coin and Audubon before serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a teacher in the Bedford school system before purchasing the Beford Times-Press in 1960.
