DEATH OF MORRIS NASH.

Well Known Resident of Near Story City Passes Away.

Special to the Journal.
Story City, April 17.--Morris Dewitt Nash was born near Earlville, New York, June 5, 1843. When 21 years of age he came to Iowa and located on a farm three miles south of Story City. Dec. 27, 1865, he was united in marriage with Rose E. Chandler of Cambridge, Iowa. Together they lived on this farm about three years, then he sold it and purchased another farm in the southern part of Howard township. To this union were born five children, all of whom, with their mother, survive to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father. As a neighbor he was ever ready to help in time of sickness and need. The children are: Mrs. Mary Bickelhaupt of near Story City, Abner Nash of Carlyle, Mont., Frank, Will and Sidney Nash of Story City. Besides these he leaves six grandchildren. In 1905 he sold his farm and bought a home in Story City were he resided until his death.

At the age of thirty-five he was converted and became a member of the M. E. church at Pleasant Grove. He held his membership there until he moved to Story City, when he united with the Evangelical church of which he was a member at the time of his death. He died at his home in Story City, April 14, at 4:40 being 68 years, 10 months and 9 days at the time of his death. The funeral services were held from the Evangelical church on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Smay officiating.
