DEATHS

ALICE BEARD

Alice Beard, 77, of Nevada, died Monday, June 3, 1985, at Oak Park Care Center in Nevada.

She was born at Maxwell, Aug. 11, 1907 to Lewis and Jenny (Bennethum) Kitchen.

Mrs. Beard was a homemaker. Her husband, Carl, died in 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Jr. of Claremont, Okla., and Charles of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Joyce Smith and Shirley Smith of Nevada, Patricia Weber of Des Moines and Paulette Mishlen of Tempe, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, and a sister, Beulah Johnson of Nevada.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell. Burial will be in Iowa Center Cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
