Andrew was the last of eight children, being nearly 82 years of age at the time of his death. he passed away quietly and peacefully on New Year's Day at the Sunset Home in Story City.

Mr. Highland was a quiet, unassuming man; one outstanding trait was his thankfulness for small courtesies and favors.

Mr. Highland's eye-sight failed him in his latter years, but never once did he complain of his lot, always having a smile for young and old.

Mr. Highland, who never married, leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

We wish to express our thanks to the many friends who have shown their sympathy at the death of Andrew Highland. Especially do we wish to thank Rev. Allen E. Smedal for his visits and his helpful words spoken at the funeral; to Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hanson for the music and songs; and to those who gave floral offerings and money to missions in his memory. A special thanks also to Mr. Freebert Riis and to Richard and Willard Erickson for their services. We also wish to express our sincere appreciation to Rev. and Mrs. Rorem, helpers and friends at the Sunset Home in Story City for all kindness shown Andrew these last years while he was at the Sunset Home. ----The Relatives of Andrew O.
