Funeral Service and Burial Here of Mrs. A. B. Moore

The body of Mrs. A. B. Moore, 71, former Nevada woman, who had died at her home in Osceola Sunday, was laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery Tuesday afternoon, following a brief service at the Morfoot Funeral home which was attended by the funeral party from Osceola and a few old time Nevada friends.

Funeral services had been held at Osceola at 10:00 in the morning, by her pastor Rev. O. L. Byrnes of Osceola Presbyterian church who also had charge of the service here as well as the commitment.

The body was accompanied to Nevada by the family and a few close friends.

The following sketch of the life of Mrs. Moore was read at the service.

Millie Estella, daughter of Truman and Mary Elizabeth Piper, was born at Okei, Wisconsin Aug. 20, 186. On October 19, 1886 she was happily united in marriage to Andy B. Moore at Jefferson. They resided at Nevada for thirty three years, rearing their family there and formed many lasting associations and friendships. Since then they have lived in Osceola. She was very industrious and sough always to be helpful to others. She made many friends who held her in high esteem.

A happy event was the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary last October, which was held at the home of S. A. Wilde in Osceola. The children and friends made the occasion a very happy one.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was regular in attendance.

For several years she has declined in health. Last December she suffered from an attack of influenza, which afflicted her heart and developed into Bright's disease. Since then she was confined to her bed, suffering much and declining rapidly.

She departed from this life on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. at the age of 71 years and 10 months.

She was the mother of six children Mary Estella, 4 and Nellie Margarite Westering, 24, preceding her in death.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Edward Darrel Moore, Chicago and Harry Preston Moore of Hooker, Mo., two daughters, Mrs. L. L. (Jennie) Jones of Des Moines and Mrs. S. A. (Eva) Wilde of Indianola and 12 grandchildren.
