Former Resident of Slater Dies Nov. 13 At Madison, Minn.

Peter R. Ahman, a former Slater resident, died early Sat., Nov. 13 at the Madison, Minn. Hospital. Funeral services were held at Canby, Minn. on Monday, Nov. 15, after which he remains were brought to the Riis Funeral Home where a brief prayer service was held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. W. A. Adix officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Slater.

Ahlman, 81, had been living with his daughter and famly, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Moe near Madison. He was a Slater resident a number of years before moving to Minnesota.

Born in Sweden, Aug. 1, 1884, he came to the U.S. and was married to Martha Caroline Sheldahl of this vicinity July 13, 1905. To this union three children were born - Arnold Ahlman of Alleman who died in the spring of 1965, Blanche, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Claire (Selma) Moe of Madison. His wife died Jan. 1951. He then married Anna Helgemo who died in Sept. 1963.

In addition to his daughter, Mrs. Moe, he is survived by a sister in Sweden, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
