Rites Conducted for Mrs. Charles Rahfeldt

Services were conducted Saturday, Jan 13, at 2 o'clock, for Mrs. Charles Rahfeldt, 57, of Zearing at the E.U.B. church in Zearing; the Rev. R. A. Dennert officiated. Mrs. Rahfeldt died Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the Mercy hospital in Marshalltown.

Mrs. Alvin Johnson, Miss Marilyn Johnson, Donald Fleming and Glenn McBride provided music. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. K. L. Cerka, Mrs. Carl Thompson, Mrs. Doris Rankin and Mrs. Wilbur Eley.

Casket bearers were Wilbur Eley, Howard Wickham, Lloy Scoville, Claude Manning, W. H. Brown and Carl Thompson. Burial was in the Zearing cemetery.

Obituary

Isabelle Erickson Rahfeldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Erickson, was born at Huxley, Ia., on August 24, 1893 an passed away on January 10, 1951, at the St. Thomas hospital in Marshalltown, Ia., at the age of 57 years, four month and 17 days.

She was baptized at the Lutheran church in Slater at the age of fourteen.

On August 16, 1916, she was married to Charles Rahfeldt of Zearing and to this union were born six children, five daughters and one son.

Preceding her in death were one daughter, Wilma Jean, who died in infancy, one brother, and her mother and father.

Surviving

Surviving are her husband, Charles Rahfeldt, her five children, Mrs. Fern Stackhouse of Des Moines, Bill Rahfeldt of Hubbard; Mrs. Lorraine Pille of Marshalltown; Mrs. Gladys Manfull of Tama, and Doris, who is still at home.

Also surviving her are four sisters, four brothers, 13 grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends.
