MRS. CLELL BROWN

MCCALLSBURG -- Funeral services for Mrs. Clell Brown were held December 29 in the Presbyterian Church in McCallsburg. Burial was in the McCallsburg cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was born to Verna Ethel Springer on May 2, 1893 and she died in the Story County Hospital in Nevada on December 27, 1958.

In 1916 she was united in marriage to Thomas Martin Johnson who preceded her in death July of 1950. To this union were born four children, all of whom survive Leslie of Des Moines, Thomas of Ames, Virgil of Ellsworth and Mary McQuire [should be McGuire] of Newton.

She is also survived by two brothers, Wesley of McCallsburg and Howard of Nevada; five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and two brothers.

In 1952 she was married to Clell Brown now of Ames.
