ISABELLE NORTON

ZEARING -- Isabelle Ruxton Norton was born Jan. 18, 1876 at Cambridge, Ill. and moved with her parents to a farm at McCallsburg, Iowa when she was a small child. When she was older she moved to farm north of Zearing where she grew to womanhood.

On Nov. 24, 1897, she was united in marriage to John H. Norton. She was a life-long member of the Christian church and when she moved to Fort Dodge she transferred her membership to the Christian church there. She was a charter member of the Eastern Star. Her husband died Oct. 2 at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Ruxton and two brothers, James and David. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jennie Chance and a niece, Mrs. Eva Reese and sever great nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends.
