Caroline Larson Died This Morning; Was 93 Years Old

Mrs. Caroline Larson, 237 I avenue, who was 93 years of age last October, died at 12:30 this morning at her home in Nevada. She had been in declining health since last February and suffered a stroke last Friday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Lutheran church following a short prayer service at the home at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. E. P. Windman officiating.

Mrs. Larson had been a resident of Nevada for over 30 years and of Story county for more than 60 years. She was born in Jutland, Denmark and came to this country at the age of 17 years. She was twice married.*

She is survived by the following children: Jess Jessen, at home, Mrs. Lucy Malmanger and L. T. Larson of Nevada, Mrs. S. B. Nordskog of Cedar Falls, C. C. Larson of Des Moines and Mrs. Harrison Huntrods of Colfax. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and a large host of friends.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Caroline Jensen married (1) Thomas Jessen on 5 December 1874 in Cook County, Illinois. They had three known children: Jess, John Charles and Lucy. She married (2) Christian Larson in 1886. They had four known children: Lewis Thorvald, Mary M., Christian C. and Anna K.
