A. G. Larson Services Held Wednesday P.M.

STORY CITY -- Funeral services for A. G. Larson were held in Story City on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Sunset Home chapel an 2:00 in St. Petri Lutheran church. The Rev. Ivar Havneros officiating. The Rev. E. R. Rorem also spoke briefly at the Home. Mrs. Robert Kenny sang a special number at the church. Burial took place in the Story City cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers were nephews; Theodore, Sherman I., Winfred and Ingram Larson, Sherman Ericson and Thomas A. Johnson.

Obituary

Andreas Gehard Larson, the son of Sam S. and Ingeri Larson was born at Story City, December 4, 1865. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran church of which he was a lifelong member. His name appeared quire early in connection with the Sunday school, in that he was one of the early secretaries of that department and also one of the first teachers.

He was regular in attendance at worship services throughout his life until his failing health confined him to his room at the Sunset Home where he resided the last few years. He passed away there on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 1952, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 29 days.

Mr. Larson's association with the merchantile business in Story City for about 65 years gave him a wide acquaintance in the community.

He also had other interest besides his business and the church. He took an interest in the growth and development of the community and the city. He served on the council and school board and took his share in any forward move for the enhancement of public welfare.

Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Molstre and Mrs. Ida S. Simonson, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death, besides his parent, were the following brothers and sisters; S. L., Henry and Rasmus Larson, Gurina (Mrs. E. L. Ericson) and several who died in infancy.
