Story City Child Victim of Polio

STORY CITY -- Christopher George Larimer, age five an a half years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larimer of Story City, die in the Blank Memorial hospital in Des Moines early this morning of polio.

The boy and his brother, Robert, 7, were both taken ill Sunday. On Monday they were both taken to Ames where their illness was diagnosed as polio and Christopher was taken to Des Moines and placed in an iron lung. The paralysis involve his arm and chest.

Robert's attack involved his leg. He is still in Mary Greeley hospital but it thought to be improving satisfactorily. Another son, 5-month old Richard is all right.

Funeral services will be held Friday from Story City Immanuel Lutheran church at 2 p.m.

The mother was the former Miss Minnie Johnson and the grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Johnson of Story City.
