Former Nevadan, 55 Year Old Blanch Bye, Dies in D.M.

Burial services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Nevada Cemetery for Miss Blanch E. Bye, 55, Des Moines, a former Nevada resident who died there Saturday after a 10 year illness. Cause of death in Broadlawns Hospital was given as a heart attack.

Miss Bye had lived in Des Moines for the past 22 years and was an employee of the F. W. Means Laundry Co. until her retirement in 1958 because of ill health.

Funeral services have been set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Funeral Home, Des Moines.

She leaves three sisters, Mrs. Donald Dytch, Des Moines; and Mrs. Dorothy Larson, Ames; and two brothers, John A. Bye of Nevada and Zane A. Bye of Massachusetts. Two nieces, whom Miss Bye raised also survive. They are Mrs. Pearl Jarcow of Jessup, Iowa and Mrs. Barbara Forsythe, Denver, Colorado.

Miss Bye was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew K. Bye of Nevada, who are buried here.
