Peggy Lee Rogers, age 60, of Story City, IA, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was born on January 13, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to William and Mary (Hearns) Bennett. She was blessed with three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Peggy worked for several different manufacturing and production facilities early on in her career before returning to school to obtain her degree in Fire Science. Upon graduation she began her career as an EMT for the Cedar Rapids Fire Department. She also worked for Story Construction with her husband Jimmy on several projects.

Peggy was outgoing, motivated, independent and quite a fighter. She loved working with her hands and found satisfaction in renewing or repurposing old items or houses. She also spent several years breeding English bull dogs and Yorkie terriers. She spent several years traveling across the world. (Brazil and England) She traveled 7000 miles by motorcycle across the country with Jimmy after they were married. She and Jimmy also toured the pacific-northwest and Canada.

Peggy loved to spoil her grand and great-grandchildren, taking them on shopping adventures, or putting them to work on one of her projects.

Peggy will be remembered by those who knew her for her down to earth nature, her strong will, her unmatched natural beauty and her love of her four Yorkies; Cotton, Peanut, Kitty and Tazzy.

Survivors include her husband; Jimmy Rogers of Story City, IA, sons; Rick Price of Garrison IA, Eric Clay of Eugene Oregon, daughter; Amber Price of Jewel IA, grandchildren; Brandon, Lauren, Brittany, Olivia, and Caleb, great-grandchildren; Aubriana and Brayden. Sisters; Patty Kress of Center Point IA, Penny Bennett Lansing IA, Jody Buss of Cedar Rapids IA, brothers; Bill Bennett Jr. of Hiawatha IA and Jamie Bennett of Midway IA.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father William Bennett Sr. of Hiawatha Iowa.
