Mr. Randall “Randy” Cleveringa, age 64, of Orange City, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

A visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, July 3, from 9:00am to 10:00am, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center. There will be a private family funeral service on Friday at the Prairie Ridge Care Center, with the Rev. Mark Haverdink and Reed officiating. Interment will follow the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is in charge of arrangements.

Randall Dean was born on September 16, 1961, in Sheldon, one of five children born to Nicholas “Nick” and Wilmina “Mina” (Aberson) Cleveringa. He was raised in Alton and graduated from Sioux Center High School.

As a young adult, Randy helped on the farm baling hay, walking beans, detasseling corn, and occasionally helping with hog chores. He later became a part of Hope Haven in Rock Valley and lived in a group home in Orange City. Through Hope Haven’s vocational program, he worked in several jobs, many of which involved small tasks in manufacturing. In 2016, he became a resident of the Prairie Ridge Care Center.

Mr. Cleveringa was a member of the First Reformed Church in Orange City and was previously a member of the Alton Reformed Church. Randy enjoyed participating in 4-H activities, Reformed Church Youth Fellowship activities, and was involved with Friendship Bible Studies.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Lester and Cindy Cleveringa, of Alton; two sisters and their husbands, Beverly and Duane Van Zee, of Sioux Center; and Rhonda and Matthew Carney, of Ames; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Natalie June Cleveringa.

Memorials will be given to Friendship Bible Study.
