Died – Mann , A. J. born 1857 Linn Co., IA died on Monday morning January 8th 1883 at Calliope IA of consumption aged 26 years, as reported in the Sioux County Independent of Jan 1883.

Mr. Mann has long been afflicted with the disease which caused his death. He was a printer by trade and came up here from Sac County, this state to assist. Mr. Kelly with the Commercial but his health failed so rapidly he had to give up and has since been bedfast as Mr. Kelly’s residence. His many friends in Odebolt will regret his death.

His name was possibly Alonzo Mann born 1856 IA, living in Fremont Co. IA in 1880, in the 1870 census of Fremont County Alonzo was the son of Archibald and Drusilla Mann. Submitter could not positively identify his family.
