Luchtenburg, Pieter 1831- 3 Nov 1879 Orange City IA.

Sioux County Independent of Nov 29, 1879.
Mr. Louxenburg, living half a mile east of Orange City, died Thursday of last week of disease of the stomach. He was buried Friday.

1880 census Sena (Dena?) Lugtenburg age 38 abt 1841 widow son Henry 6, and daughter Wilhelmina living in Holland township.

Note: Son Henry L. married Gerdina Van Wechel 1 March 1900 Orange City, IA

In Find a Grave for Henry L. Luchtenburg born 22 Feb 1874 Alton IA died 6 Oct 1945 Orange City IA Parents Pieter Luchtenburg and Diana Buurman, his wife was Geraldine Van Wechel, his death record states his mother was Diana Labberton.

Found that Diana was first married to a Buurman and had a son John Buurman .
