Paul Barrett, the 14 year old son of Senator O. M. Barrett met with a most terrible and fatal accident near Hull Monday from the accidental discharge of a gun. He was out hunting with ex-sheriff Harringtons son, and had the butt end of the gun resting on the side of the buggy and the nuzzle against his body. In such a manner the stock slipped off the side of the buggy with such force as to break the hammers and discharge broth barrels of the gun, the shot taking effect in his arm and body. This father and a doctor were telegraphed for but he was found to be beyond aid and died at 12 o’clock that night.
