Young Hospers Mother Dies Very Suddenly

Mrs. Adolph Fisher (Mary Gertrude Fredericks) died at her home north east of Hospers, on Wednesday afternoon, August 2, at 2:20 o’clock p.m. She was 29 years of age and was born in Mendota, Illinois on November 15, 1903. She enjoyed good health until Saturday evening when she took sick with pleural pneumonia which was the cause of her death.

On January 16, 1924, she was married to Adolph Fisher from Missouri. To this union six children were born, of which all are living. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fredericks of near Hospers, and six sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, at the St. Anthony’s Church, Rev. Thaenissen officiating. Burial was made in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

She was a member of the St. Anthony’s Church and of the “Mothers of America” Society. Sympathy of the neighbors and friends was expressed by many beautiful flowers.

Her death certificate adds both parents, Mike Fredericks and Clara Metzen, both born in Illinois; resident of Hospers 10 years; died at 2:35 p.m. August 2, 1933; cause, lobar pneumonia, onset July 28, 1933; contributory causes, acute pleurisy, onset July 28; pregnancy, 5 months along.
