On Thursday noon Mrs. John Kersten received word of the death of her father, Mr. Meyners whos had been ill for the past few years. Funeral services were held at Sheldon on Sunday (abt Sep 30 died a few days before that about Sept 26) .

Herman died Sept 26, 1936 (1935) in Sheldon IA and was buried Boyden IA. They had seven children. Listed were – Bertha 1878, John Henry 1881, Anna 1884, George 1884, Helena 1891, Mathilda born ? died 1892.
