Mrs. Joe Robinson passed away quietly at the Hawarden Hospital at 4:30 Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks from arsenic poisoning. Mrs. Robinson had been an invalid for a number of years but she had always been cheerful and looked after her own household duties. About six weeks ago her condition became alarming and she was taken to the Hawarden Hospital where she gave birth to a baby daughter August 10th, who survives her. For awhile she rallied but it was a losing fight and the end came quietly early Sunday morning.

Orchia Hoonhorst was born in New Kirk, Gelder, Holland, January 17, 1885. She received her education in Holland and in her early youth she became a member of the Reformed Church and remained faithful until her death. In 1908 she was united in marriage with Joe Robinson and the following year they came to America, location on a farm in Sioux County.

Besides her husband she is survived by six children, Sena, Martha, Gertrude, Dena, Joseph, and Katherine Joan. She also leaves her aged father, two brothers and two sisters in the Netherlands and two brothers in this country, Hein Hoonhorst of Hawarden and Henry Hoonhorst of Grand Michigan. The husband, children and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of all in their loss of a loving wife and mother.

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed Church at Ireton with Reverend H.E. Rhinehart of Archer Iowa, her former pastor in charge. Interment was made in the Ireton Cemetery.
