Funeral services wre held Tuesday, December 29, at 1:30 P.M. at the Ireton Funeral Home for Mrs. Lena Parker, 94, former Ireton Resident, who died Christmas Day at the Garden Court Nursing Home, Des Moines. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

On July 20, 1904, Lena Coons married Fred Parker. He passed away in 1940. She had made her home for the past 13 years with Emil Swansons, Des Moines, and had been a nursing home patient for the past seven months.

Survivors are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Coons and several nieces and nephews.
