Mildred “Millie” Sanny, 75, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her home in Le Mars surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. James Church in Le Mars. Father Bruce Lawler will celebrate Mass. Burial will be in the Remsen Community Cemetery in Remsen, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Parish Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at the funeral home. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Mildred Luella Klein was born November 25, 1942 on the family farm near Granville, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Luella (Penning) Klein. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. She attended school in Granville and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in 1961. Following high school, she attended Ellis Beauty School in Sioux City and graduated in 1962.

Millie was united in marriage to Gerald Sanny on April 16, 1966 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. They made their home in Le Mars. Gerald passed away April 10, 2000.

Millie was a beautician for many years. She worked for Modern Beauty Shop in Le Mars before starting Millie’s Salon out of her home in 1969. She owned her own salon until her retirement. Millie also worked part time outside the salon where she gained several new friendships.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren.

Survivors include her two children: Jason Sanny of Le Mars,IA, and Lisa Morris of Le Mars, IA; 3 grandchildren: Jared Morris, Trevor Morris, and Jenna Morris; her sister: Byrlea (Ronald) Budden of Granville, IA; 3 brothers: Jake (Ellen) Klein of Granville, IA, Mark (Cindy) Klein of Granville, IA, and Paul Klein of Sacramento, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Luella Klein; her husband, Gerald Sanny; her brother: Dominic Klein; and her father and mother in law: Henry and Katherine Sanny.
