MRS. JACOB MANTEL

Funeral services were held at the Protestant Reformed Church in Doon at 1:30 P.M. February 11 for Mrs. Jacob (Marie) Mantel, 90,of Doon, who died February 7 at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Richard Moore and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton with Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mantel was born in The Netherlands June 9, 1884, and came to the U.S. at the age of 22. She was married February 26, 1908, at Rock Valley. Jacob Mantel died in 1944. Survivors include four sons, Jacob of Redlands, California, John of Doon, Clarence of Seattle, Washington and William of Ontario, California; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Ver Mulm of Hudson, South Dakota and Mrs. Fred Winterswyk of Chino, California; a sister in The Netherlands; 39 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
