BRIAN L. HOHBACH
     Brian L. Hohbach passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Jennie Edmundson Methodist Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa surrounded by his family.
    Brian Lee Hohbach, age 57 the son of Floyd L. and Jacquelyn (Callenius) Hohbach, formerly of Granville, Iowa was born in Sheldon, Iowa on January 8, 1960. He was baptized on January 31, 1960 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa. During his youth he attended several schools dealing with special education for the disabled. Since the early 1980’s, Brian has been a resident at Glenwood Resource Center in Glenwood, Iowa. There he was actively involved in the work activity center. He liked working, doing various jobs, and looked forward to receiving his paycheck so he could go to the canteen on campus. In his early years he competed in the State Special Olympics in swimming and bowling. Brian’s main love was music and he spent much of his time listening to his favorite recordings. He had many friends at his residence and on the staff at the Glenwood Resource Center.
   Brian leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Jackie of Sheldon, Iowa; brothers, Steve Hohbach of Paullina, Iowa; Kevin (Kerry) Hohbach of Red Oak, Iowa; Dan (Kim) Hohbach of Hospers, Iowa and Roger (Stacie) Hohbach of Paullina, Iowa; and sisters, Laura (Kent) Lundquist of Paullina, Iowa and LeAnn (Christopher) Misterek of Holly Springs, North Carolina; three step brothers, Keith (Sue) Wersinger of Bondurant, Iowa; David Wersinger of Cherokee, Iowa and Paul Wersinger of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; a step sister, Denise (Roy)Williams of Newton, Iowa; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd L. Hohbach, his step father, Leonard Wersinger, grandparents, Richard and Bertha Hohbach and Merlynn Sr. and Dove Callenius.
