It was in Clara City that Lou switched her career path to her other interest, bookkeeping. She enjoyed working as the bookkeeper at the Clara City Elevator and Jerry’s Garage. She finished her career working for Impact Plastic before retiring in 2018.

Hobbies/Interests: Loved yardwork, mowing her yard and planting flowers; enjoyed decorating her house for every holiday; with Ron, they loved to camp, frequently camping with friends and family all over Iowa; enjoyed making yarn-knotted hangers as gifts
