Employment: Was employed at the New Oaks Care Center, Des Moines, IA as head cook in the dietary department for 5 years; after the birth of her second daughter, Heather was employed by the Econo Lodge in Des Moines, IA, working the front desk and in housekeeping. The family moved back to Audubon, IA in 2012 and she was employed with the Family Resource Center in Carroll, IA for several years and additionally worked at the Holiday Motel in Audubon, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed listening to music, watching scary movies, cooking and shopping. She was an active and fit person and enjoyed taking long walks, riding bikes, or jumping on the trampoline with her daughters. In her spare time, she enjoyed her vegetable garden.
